How do I use the AI food scanner?

Tap the "Log Meal" button, then take a clear photo of your dog's food. Our AI will analyze the image and provide calorie information. For best results, photograph the food in good lighting before your dog eats it.

How are my dog's daily calories calculated?

PetCal calculates your dog's daily calorie needs based on their breed, age, weight, activity level, body condition score, and any health conditions you've entered. This calculation is based on established veterinary nutrition formulas.

Can I track multiple dogs?

Yes! Premium subscribers can add and track unlimited pets. Each pet gets their own profile and calorie tracking.

How do I edit my dog's profile?

Go to the Profile tab, select your dog, and tap "Edit" to update their information.

Is this app a substitute for veterinary advice?

No. PetCal provides educational information about pet nutrition and is designed to support your dog's health journey. Always consult your veterinarian before making significant changes to your dog's diet, especially if your dog has health conditions.

Manage Your Subscription

PetCal subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID.

To view, change, or cancel your subscription:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone

2. Tap your name at the top

3. Tap Subscriptions

4. Select PetCal

5. Choose a different plan or tap Cancel Subscription

You can also manage subscriptions at: apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions

Note: Canceling your subscription will stop future charges. You'll continue to have access to premium features until the end of your current billing period.

Restore Purchases

If you've previously subscribed and need to restore your purchase:

1. Open PetCal

2. Go to Settings

3. Tap "Restore Purchases"

Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
